The five promises
Every number has a date
Each cell carries the source it came from and the day it was verified — not one date for the whole page.
Duty: No value may be rendered without its provenance chip. If the provenance does not fit, the component is wrong, not the data.
Claimed is not confirmed
A press release and an audited record are not worth the same. Announced units never count as delivered units.
Duty: The evidence scale has five states, each with its own shape. Colour never carries the meaning on its own.
Empty stays empty
Where nobody published a number, the cell stays blank and says why. We never interpolate a plausible value.
Duty: Absence has its own visual treatment — the 45° hatch — and never disguises itself as a dash, a zero or white space.
We keep the failures
Shutdowns, refusals, failed endpoints and slipped dates stay on the record.
Duty: The graveyard is a designed section, not a footnote — and the duotone is reserved for it.
The data belongs to whoever reads it
Every list publishes its dataset with all sources intact, under CC BY 4.0.
Duty: The download button lives in the hero meta bar, not in the footer. A list you cannot take away is not a reference.
