Hope for thousands of MS patients as 'life-changing' drug now on NHS in England

Fampridine, a drug that improves nerve signal transmission to enhance walking ability in multiple sclerosis patients, is now available on the NHS in England. Around 4,000-5,000 people annually could benefit, with clinical trials showing approximately 40% of users experienced improved walking speed and endurance. Patients will undergo a trial period, with continued access dependent on demonstrating clear improvement.
