Terms

Terms of use, in plain language

The short version: we are an aggregator, the stories belong to their sources, and we try to be a good intermediary. The slightly longer version is below.

01

What this site is

#

Uplifting World is a good-news aggregator, operated by co-plex.com. For each story we publish a headline, a short summary and a clearly visible link to the original source. We are not the authors of the news we point to.

The site is free to use and requires no account or registration. By using it, you accept these terms.

02

The content belongs to its sources

#

All the stories referenced here belong to the outlets that published them. Our summaries exist to help you decide whether to read the original — never to replace it. The Uplifting World brand, design and our own text, though, are ours.

  • We never republish the full text of any article.
  • The source is always identified and linked, next to every story.
  • Any source can ask to be removed from the site at any time — one email is enough.
03

Images and credit

#

Story images come from the original article or from licensed stock libraries, and are shown with credit where the origin is known. So the site loads quickly, we may store and serve a reduced copy of the original image. They illustrate the link to the source; they are not ours to sell or license.

If you hold rights over an image shown here and want it credited differently or removed, write to us and we will act quickly.

04

What we can and cannot promise

#

We choose sources carefully, but the accuracy of each story is the responsibility of the outlet that published it. Summaries are written in good faith — in many cases generated automatically by artificial intelligence from the original article — and may contain errors; the original article always prevails.

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of availability or fitness for a particular purpose. External links take you to sites we do not control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights your country’s law gives you that cannot be excluded by contract.

05

Changes and contact

#

We may update these terms when the service changes — the date at the top always tells you the current version. Substantial changes will be visible on this page.

Questions about these terms? Write to us — the address is on the contact page, and a person replies.

And your data?

What we collect (very little) and what we never do with it is in the privacy policy.
